Chanthaburi, a stunning coastal region just a few hours southeast of Bangkok, is where our journey began. During a recent visit to Thailand, Fjak's team had the pleasure of meeting husband-and-wife team Boom and Suriya at their small farm, alongside the dedicated Thai Cacao team. They explored farms and the fermentation process center, and in the evenings, they enjoyed karaoke with Boom, who is not only an amazing cocoa farmer but also an incredible karaoke singer!

All of Fjak's single-origin bars are crafted with just cocoa beans, sugar, and cocoa butter. Their chocolates are free from soy, dairy, eggs, and gluten, with no added lecithin or vanilla.

Starting with a humble Premier grinder and a kilo of cocoa beans, their passion took root. In late 2017, Fjak officially emerged, marking the culmination of two years of experimentation. Throughout this period, Agur and Siv tirelessly pursued excellence, honing their craft and refining their ethical and flavor-focused approach with the goal of ensuring scalability from the outset.Fjak prioritizes direct sourcing, forging direct relationships with cocoa farms whenever possible. For their Madagascar and Brazil cocoa beans, Fjak partners directly with Åkesson or relies on trusted suppliers like Uncommon Cacao or Cocoanect. This commitment to sourcing directly ensures not only quality but also fosters sustainable and transparent supply chains.The inception of Fjak Chocolate dates back to 2015, when Agur and her partner Siv Hereid, both women with a shared vision, embarked on their chocolate-making adventure. Inspired by craft chocolate videos, they took the leap and purchased a modest Premier grinder and a kilo of cocoa beans. Thus, on their kitchen countertop, the seeds of Fjak Chocolate were sown.Fast forward to 2017, Fjåk Chocolate AS was officially founded, marking the culmination of two years of experimentation and dedication. With a mission to become the premier craft chocolate maker in Norway, Agur and Siv set out to showcase the diversity and quality of real chocolate, emphasizing the use of fine organic cocoa and supporting small-scale farmers.For Agur and the Fjak team, the journey doesn't end with their current offerings. With seven awards under their belt within the first year of operation, including recognition from the Academy of Chocolate Awards, Fjak Chocolate stands as a testament to the power of passion and dedication.As Fjak Chocolate continues to captivate palates and push boundaries, one thing is clear: their journey is as rich and enticing as the chocolate they create.

Our chocolate makers proudly refrain from using any artificial stabilizers or preservatives in their products, making their creations more temperature-sensitive compared to other premium chocolates.

To ensure the optimal taste experience, it's advisable to store our chocolates in a cool, dry place where the temperature hovers between 16°C and 18°C. Please refrain from refrigerating our chocolates, as this may cause sugar crystallization due to increased humidity, altering their texture and flavor.

On the contrary, if stored in excessively high temperatures, cocoa butter may separate and form a white film on the chocolate's surface. This loss of cocoa butter can lead to the chocolate drying out and, consequently, a potential alteration in flavor. Your mindful storage practices will help preserve the integrity of our delectable chocolates.
