Starting with a humble Premier grinder and a kilo of cocoa beans, their passion took root. In late 2017, Fjak officially emerged, marking the culmination of two years of experimentation. Throughout this period, Agur and Siv tirelessly pursued excellence, honing their craft and refining their ethical and flavor-focused approach with the goal of ensuring scalability from the outset.Fjak prioritizes direct sourcing, forging direct relationships with cocoa farms whenever possible. For their Madagascar and Brazil cocoa beans, Fjak partners directly with Åkesson or relies on trusted suppliers like Uncommon Cacao or Cocoanect. This commitment to sourcing directly ensures not only quality but also fosters sustainable and transparent supply chains.The inception of Fjak Chocolate dates back to 2015, when Agur and her partner Siv Hereid, both women with a shared vision, embarked on their chocolate-making adventure. Inspired by craft chocolate videos, they took the leap and purchased a modest Premier grinder and a kilo of cocoa beans.
