This is the widest view we can give of what the top of the craft looks like. Two plain dark bars that won Best in Competition. A third with the crunch of cacao nibs, and a fourth that brings the warmth of rye whiskey. Then two white chocolates that have nothing to do with what most people think white chocolate is: one with asparagus, one with alpine violets.

- Vigdis Rosenkilde Piura with Nibs, 70% (Norwegian maker, cacao from Piura, Peru). World Final 2024: Gold, dark bars with inclusions, score 90.8. Citrus and dried fruit over caramel and nuts, with the crunch of cacao nibs.
- Goodnow Farms Putnam Rye Whiskey, 77% (American maker, cacao from Ecuador). World Final 2023: Silver, dark bars with an infusion or flavouring, score 92.0. Rye whiskey warmth with berry jam, baked apple and vanilla.
- Prague Chocolate White 40% with Asparagus (Czech maker). World Final 2025: Gold and Best in Competition, flavoured bars, score 92.1. Creamy white chocolate with asparagus, strawberry, blackcurrant, tarragon and red orange.
- Depetris Riccardo Monviso Violets & Blueberry (Italian maker, white chocolate with Peruvian cocoa butter). European, Middle Eastern and African Competition 2026: Gold and Best in Competition, flavoured bars, score 94.2, the highest score of that competition. Fresh and floral, with alpine violets and blueberries.

How to taste it
Start with the two plain dark bars, then the nibs and the whiskey bar. Keep the two white bars for another sitting, or for after a glass of water. Break a piece rather than biting it, and let it melt.
The wrap
Furoshiki is the Japanese tradition of wrapping gifts in cloth. It's meant to be untied and kept, as a scarf, a napkin, or the next gift's wrapping.
Ingredients and dietary
- Dairy: the two white bars contain milk. The four dark bars are vegan and dairy-free by recipe.
- Whiskey: the Goodnow Farms bar lists rye whiskey as an ingredient, so anyone avoiding alcohol entirely may prefer another gift.
- Nuts: the Goodnow Farms bar may contain traces of peanuts and tree nuts.
Storage: keep below 18 °C, away from light and strong odours.

Ships Monday to Thursday from Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Orders placed before 2 p.m. Atlantic Time on a shipping day usually dispatch the same day.
