Shipping Policy
We ship worldwide from our warehouse in Atlantic Canada.
Processing & Dispatch
Orders are typically packed and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Pre-orders ship once stock arrives — you'll receive a tracking number the moment your order leaves us.
Delivery Timeframes
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Typical timeframes from dispatch:
- Canada: 3–7 business days (Standard) / 2–3 business days (Express)
- United States: 3–4 business days
- Europe: 3–7 business days depending on destination
- Asia & Pacific: 3–8 business days depending on destination
- Rest of world: 5–14 business days
Warm Weather & Temperature Protection
Fine chocolate is temperature-sensitive. We monitor conditions along the shipping route and adjust packaging accordingly:
- 77–86°F (25–30°C) — Insulated packaging
- 86–95°F (30–35°C) — Double insulation + ice pack
- 95–104°F (35–40°C) — Double insulation + ice packs
- Above 104°F (40°C) — Shipment may be held until conditions are safe
In some cases, we may hold an order without prior notice if we determine conditions pose a risk to the chocolate. We will contact you as soon as possible when this happens.
These measures significantly reduce risk, but some softening may still occur in extreme heat. We do not offer refunds or replacements for temperature-related transit issues.
Customs & Duties
All international orders are shipped DAP (Delivered at Place). This means customs duties and import taxes — where applicable — are the responsibility of the customer upon delivery and are not included in our shipping fees.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.
Lost or Damaged Orders
Once an order has been handed to the carrier, responsibility for transit passes to them. If your order arrives visibly damaged or does not arrive within a reasonable timeframe, contact us and we will do our best to assist — including opening a carrier investigation where appropriate.
We do not guarantee outcomes on carrier claims, and Hello Chocolate cannot be held liable for loss or damage that occurs in transit.
Mixed Orders (In-stock + Pre-order)
If your order contains both in-stock and pre-ordered items, the entire order ships together once all items are available. If you need in-stock items sooner, please place separate orders.
