Origin & Craftsmanship
This bar is part of Cacao Hunters’ celebrated lineup of terroir-focused chocolates, made with cacao from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region of Colombia. Cacao Hunters works directly with local Indigenous and small-holder growers to revitalize heirloom genetics and highlight true origin expression. Their bean-to-bar process preserves delicate flavor notes through careful fermentation, roasting, and refining.

Flavor Profile
At 64% cacao, this bar offers a beautifully balanced dark chocolate experience. It opens with bright red fruit and citrus notes, followed by mellow caramel and floral undertones. Rounded cocoa depth and a smooth finish give complexity without overwhelming bitterness, making it both expressive and approachable.

Tasting & Pairing Guide

Let a square melt slowly on your tongue — first enjoy the fruit-bright top notes, then let the cocoa and caramel layers unfold, finishing with warm floral echoes.
Pair this bar with a medium-bodied red wine like Pinot Noir or Gamay to echo its fruity nuances. For a non-alcoholic option, a fragrant jasmine or oolong tea complements the floral and citrus character. To add textural contrast, enjoy with dried apricots or toasted almonds — both enhance the flavour profile and create a satisfying tasting journey.

Summary

The Sierra Nevada 64% bar from Cacao Hunters is an elegant, origin-driven chocolate that blends fruit brightness with cocoa depth in a seamless way. It’s a refined choice for anyone who appreciates nuanced, terroir-rich dark chocolate that’s expressive yet smooth.

Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and strong odors. Store at maximum
18 ° C in its original packaging

Our chocolate makers proudly refrain from using any artificial stabilizers or preservatives in their products, making their creations more temperature-sensitive compared to other premium chocolates.

To ensure the optimal taste experience, it's advisable to store our chocolates in a cool, dry place where the temperature hovers between 16°C and 18°C. Please refrain from refrigerating our chocolates, as this may cause sugar crystallization due to increased humidity, altering their texture and flavor.

On the contrary, if stored in excessively high temperatures, cocoa butter may separate and form a white film on the chocolate's surface. This loss of cocoa butter can lead to the chocolate drying out and, consequently, a potential alteration in flavor. Your mindful storage practices will help preserve the integrity of our delectable chocolates.
