Mexico is the birthplace of chocolate. Today it produces some of the best Mexican chocolate in the world — from Chiapas to Tabasco, makers like Feliu, Binz, and Krud Cacao Virgen are winning international recognition that would have seemed impossible a decade ago. This ranking tracks all of it, drawing from six International Chocolate Awards competitions across 2023, 2024, and 2025. Every score is verified. Every entry earned its place.
How this ranking works
Every entry is drawn from official results published by the International Chocolate Awards — the most rigorous independent judging body in craft chocolate. We include results from the ICA World Final, Americas competition, and Mexican national competition across 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Where a bar appears in multiple competitions, we record only its highest score. Entries are ranked purely by score, highest first. No editorial selection. No paid placements. No exceptions.
This ranking is updated annually following each ICA season. Last updated: 2025.
