Origin & Craftsmanship
This intense dark chocolate is part of Cacao Hunters’ Heirloom Collection, created with rare cacao beans from the Tumaco region of Colombia’s Pacific coast. Cacao Hunters works directly with local farming communities to preserve heritage genetics and craft chocolate that reflects the uniqueness of each terroir. The result is a bar that’s both bold and nuanced, showing off Colombian cacao at its fullest.

Flavor Profile
At 82% cacao, this chocolate delivers a rich and structured experience. Expect deep, dark cocoa notes layered with smoky fruit, dried berries, and subtle spice, accompanied by hints of roasted espresso and molasses. The finish is long, elegant, and velvety, combining intensity and balance in every piece.

Tasting & Pairing Guide

Let a square slowly melt on your tongue to allow the initial bold cocoa presence to give way to fruit-driven nuances and smoky undertones.
Pair this bar with a full-bodied red wine such as a Syrah or aged Malbec to match its depth and complexity. For a non-alcoholic option, a sturdy dark roast coffee or an herbal smoked tea highlights its rich character. For food pairings, smoked almonds or dark cherries enhance both texture and flavour, echoing the chocolate’s signature traits.

Summary

The Tumaco 82% bar from Cacao Hunters is a powerful yet refined expression of Colombian cocoa, offering concentrated depth with fruit and spice complexity. It’s a standout choice for lovers of bold, origin-driven dark chocolate that rewards slow, mindful tasting.

Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and strong odors. Store at maximum
18 ° C in its original packaging

Our chocolate makers proudly refrain from using any artificial stabilizers or preservatives in their products, making their creations more temperature-sensitive compared to other premium chocolates.

To ensure the optimal taste experience, it's advisable to store our chocolates in a cool, dry place where the temperature hovers between 16°C and 18°C. Please refrain from refrigerating our chocolates, as this may cause sugar crystallization due to increased humidity, altering their texture and flavor.

On the contrary, if stored in excessively high temperatures, cocoa butter may separate and form a white film on the chocolate's surface. This loss of cocoa butter can lead to the chocolate drying out and, consequently, a potential alteration in flavor. Your mindful storage practices will help preserve the integrity of our delectable chocolates.
