Origin & Craftsmanship
This single-origin bar from Cacao Hunters highlights heirloom cacao beans grown by Indigenous communities in the Arauca region of Colombia’s Eastern Plains. Cacao Hunters works closely with local growers to preserve rare genetic varieties and bring their distinct terroirs to life through expert bean-to-bar chocolate making.

Flavor Profile
At 70% cacao, the Arauca bar is both approachable and nuanced. It opens with rich cocoa depth, supported by red berry fruitiness, gentle caramel sweetness, and a touch of spice. The finish is clean and lingering, with layered fruit and cocoa richness that evolves as it melts.

Tasting & Pairing Guide

Let a piece melt slowly on your tongue to allow the chocolate’s fruit-forward top notes to emerge, then savour the deeper caramel and cocoa layers. Pair this bar with a medium-bodied red wine such as Pinot Noir or Merlot to echo the berry and cocoa interplay. For a non-alcoholic option, choose a floral black tea or a nutty oolong to highlight its complexity. To add texture, enjoy alongside toasted almonds or dried cherries, which enhance the bar’s fruit and cocoa character.

Summary

The Arauca 70% bar from Cacao Hunters is a beautifully balanced dark chocolate that celebrates the unique flavours of Colombian heirloom cacao. Its harmonious blend of fruit, cocoa depth, and nuance makes it an excellent choice for both dark chocolate enthusiasts and anyone seeking an origin-driven tasting experience.

Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and strong odors. Store at maximum
18 ° C in its original packaging

Our chocolate makers proudly refrain from using any artificial stabilizers or preservatives in their products, making their creations more temperature-sensitive compared to other premium chocolates.

To ensure the optimal taste experience, it's advisable to store our chocolates in a cool, dry place where the temperature hovers between 16°C and 18°C. Please refrain from refrigerating our chocolates, as this may cause sugar crystallization due to increased humidity, altering their texture and flavor.

On the contrary, if stored in excessively high temperatures, cocoa butter may separate and form a white film on the chocolate's surface. This loss of cocoa butter can lead to the chocolate drying out and, consequently, a potential alteration in flavor. Your mindful storage practices will help preserve the integrity of our delectable chocolates.
