  • Tasting Impressions: Imagine fresh blossoms merging with creamy citrus notes and sweet honey, with a light glaze of tangy yogurt—the experience is both charming and unforgettable.

Craft & Origin Story

Cacao Hunters is dedicated to celebrating Colombia’s diverse cacao heritage. The Arauca bar reflects this mission—its beans are sustainably sourced directly from local farmers along Colombia’s expansive river valleys. This approach not only supports ethical chocolate production but also contributes to revitalizing cacao farming traditions in formerly marginalized regions.

Recognition & Awards

This chocolate has received multiple Silver medals at the International Chocolate Awards (notably in 2019 and earlier) for its graceful expression of terroir and balanced flavor profile.

Why Arauca 70% Stands Out

  • Delicately Expressive: Not all dark chocolates are bold and bitter—this bar charms with subtlety, offering nuanced floral and citrus notes that unfold with each bite.

  • Sustainable & Impactful: By supporting small-scale Colombian farmers, Arauca reflects both flavor and purpose, contributing to economic regeneration and chocolate craftsmanship at origin.

  • Globally Acclaimed: Its accolades reinforce its standing as a refined and thoughtfully crafted chocolate worth exploring.

Tasting & Pairing Suggestions

  • Mindful Tasting: Let a square melt slowly, allowing the floral and honey notes to blossom gradually before finishing with a soft citrus tang.

  • Perfect Pairings: Try this bar with light oolong or jasmine teas, delicate sparkling wines, or a soft, floral-infused cocktail to accent its floral-citrus character.

  • Creative Use: Grate lightly over panna cotta or citrus desserts to amplify the lemony, floral layers without overpowering sweetness.

Summary

The Arauca 70% by Cacao Hunters is a beautifully crafted dark chocolate that whispers rather than shouts. It’s floral, creamy, subtly fruity, and deeply rooted in Colombian terroir and sustainable sourcing. Ideal for chocolate lovers seeking elegance, nuance, and purpose in every bite.

Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and strong odors. Store at maximum
18 ° C in its original packaging

Our chocolate makers proudly refrain from using any artificial stabilizers or preservatives in their products, making their creations more temperature-sensitive compared to other premium chocolates.

To ensure the optimal taste experience, it's advisable to store our chocolates in a cool, dry place where the temperature hovers between 16°C and 18°C. Please refrain from refrigerating our chocolates, as this may cause sugar crystallization due to increased humidity, altering their texture and flavor.

On the contrary, if stored in excessively high temperatures, cocoa butter may separate and form a white film on the chocolate's surface. This loss of cocoa butter can lead to the chocolate drying out and, consequently, a potential alteration in flavor. Your mindful storage practices will help preserve the integrity of our delectable chocolates.
