Origin & Craftsmanship
This bar comes from Slitti’s artisanal “Mandorle” line, featuring high-quality almonds embedded in a deeply dark chocolate base. The almonds are roasted to bring out their natural sweetness and crunch, then combined with Slitti’s signature dark chocolate blend to yield an elegant, textured experience. (While Slitti’s public listings often show “Mandorle D’Avola” variants, the style and format point to their almond-infused, high-cocoa offerings.)

Flavor Profile
This bar offers bold cocoa intensity thanks to its high percentage, balanced by the toasted almond notes. You’ll taste the richness of deep chocolate, a nutty warmth from the almonds, and a gratifying crunchy finish. The contrast between the bitter chocolate and the nut’s natural sweetness becomes especially satisfying.

Tasting & Pairing Guide

Let a square melt slowly to first experience the deep, dark chocolate notes, then enjoy the roasted almond warmth and crisp texture as they emerge. Pair this bar with a full-bodied red wine (such as Cabernet or Malbec) to complement its intensity, or try a roasted espresso to bring out its darker chocolate elements. For a non-alcoholic option, enjoy it with an oolong or smoky black tea to echo the almond-cocoa interplay. Accompany with toasted almonds or a nutty biscotti to mirror and enhance the bar’s crunchy almond rush.

Vegan, Dairy-free

The story of Slitti begins in 1969, when Luciano Slitti opened a coffee roasting business in Monsummano Terme, in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany. His vision was simple: to roast and offer exceptional coffee that stood out from the standard fare.In 1988, Luciano passed control of the company to his son Andrea Slitti, along with support from his brother Daniele. A couple of years later, in 1990, Andrea, driven by a burgeoning passion for chocolate, expanded the business to include artisanal chocolate production.

Typical formulations for Slitti’s almond dark chocolates include: almonds (20% roasted), extra dark chocolate 80% (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter) with minimal additives or lecithin.

Contains: tree nuts. May contain: milk or traces of other nuts.

Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and strong odors. Store at maximum
18 ° C in its original packaging

Our chocolate makers proudly refrain from using any artificial stabilizers or preservatives in their products, making their creations more temperature-sensitive compared to other premium chocolates.

To ensure the optimal taste experience, it's advisable to store our chocolates in a cool, dry place where the temperature hovers between 16°C and 18°C. Please refrain from refrigerating our chocolates, as this may cause sugar crystallization due to increased humidity, altering their texture and flavor.

On the contrary, if stored in excessively high temperatures, cocoa butter may separate and form a white film on the chocolate's surface. This loss of cocoa butter can lead to the chocolate drying out and, consequently, a potential alteration in flavor. Your mindful storage practices will help preserve the integrity of our delectable chocolates.
