International Chocolate Awards, 2019 Silver
This very balanced tree-to-bar chocolate brings out the fascinating notes of hazelnut, toffee candy, and dried tropical fruits from perfect fermentation and roasting process. All of the Taiwan Chocolates are made from tree-to-bar in Fu Wan in Ping-Tung county, which means that the brand is responsible for fermentation, drying, roasting, grinding in accordance with the highest possible standards.
Fu Wan is a recent champion of International Chocolate Awards - a considerably challenging international chocolate competition. Fu Wan's Taiwan #1 62% Ping Tung was pronounced the best dark chocolate 2019 along with the Silver for this 70% Ping Tung and other 17 bars that collected prizes in different categories. But what is more important the awards showed the quality of Taiwan cacao and its' processing capabilities. This is the first Taiwan chocolate made of Taiwan cacao beans in our collection and it promises to be one of the trendiest chocolate of the next decade along with some Asian destinations like Thailand and Malaysia.
Intense dark chocolate with notes of caramel. 5x2 ridged square mould with a consistent matte gloss finish. The bar has a smooth, fudgy, light flake texture. The bar's aroma is subtle but you will feel the warmth from the first bite.
